About Davco Media

Ian DaviesHi, I’m Ian Davies and I own and operate Davco Media.

I’m an experienced feature writer and editor, having written for a wide variety of publications, both offline and online.

Experience

I spent 10 years working in professional football in various commercial and marketing roles. I am a former editor of Watford Football Club’s “The Hornet” newspaper and write occasional articles for soccerlens.com, one of the largest football blogs in the World with a daily readership of over 20,000.

At Davco Media we specialise in WordPress training, and hold regular public courses in London and other venues around the UK. Private training sessions are often held at clients’ premises too.

Davco Media’s Reputation

We have built an excellent reputation with customers ranging from people wishing to create WordPress websites for their hobby right through to the United Nations – and I am not joking about the latter!

Our customers include the UK Government departments – including DEFRA and the Department for Budget Responsibility, Birmingham City Council, Kings College London, University College London, The NSPCC, The NHS, Anglia Care Trust, Wandsworth Carers Centre, Unison, United St Saviour’s Charity, The Petchey Foundation, Leicester Primary Care Trust, The Lord Lieutenancy of Kent, Surrey Squash & Racketball Association and many, many more.

We also have customers in Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.

We’ve even had a customer who flew from Geneva, attended one of our beginners courses, had his hair cut afterwards and then flew home. All in one day!

Please take a look at a small selection of our unsolicited testimonials.

I absolutely love using WordPress and Davco Media is all about spreading that enthusiasm. With a day’s training anyone who is capable of sending an email can publish and maintain their own website.

I thought the course was great and I have been singing your praises. I will continue to do so.

It was a good investment in both time and money.

Your manner was perfect. You listened well and gave people the chance to talk but not ramble. I felt you wanted to answer everyone’s questions without rushing them.”

Although they are held in a classroom style environment, our WordPress courses are jargon-free and 100% hands-on. I am the principal tutor and train in an informative but relaxed style, and interactivity with delegates throughout the day is an important element of the course.

If you are a complete novice or have limited experience of using WordPress and want to learn more I can help you!
