Our resources page provides you with links to a number of products and services you may find useful as you develop your WordPress website.

In some instances we do earn a commission, though not in every case. However, we only promote products and services we use ourselves and have complete trust in.

WordPress Hosting

Bluehost – recommended by WordPress itself! Although the Davco Media isn’t hosted by them, we do have other sites which are. Bluehost provide the essential 1-click installation facility and their support service is excellent.

Heart Internet – based in Nottingham, Heart also provide the 1-click installation facility and they host the Davco Media website. We have never come across better support.

WordPress Themes

Woo Themes – With over 100 premium themes to choose from, Woo Themes are hard to beat. The theme we use for the Davco Media website is called ‘Canvas’ and it comes from Woo Themes. The company offers an excellent try-before-you-buy option.

Elegant Themes – At only $39 (under £24) for all 60 plus themes, Elegant Themes offer unbelievable value for money. Our own website originally used ‘The Source’ as the theme and we have used a wide variety of their other themes for several projects. Highly recommended.

Theme Forest – With probably the largest choice of themes around, Theme Forest cover all genres. The biggest problem is deciding on which one to use. There are literally thousands of them.

Site Security

Blog Vault – There are several WordPress ‘back-up’ plugins available, but Blog Vault is without doubt in a league of its own. It backs up everything – your content, images, overall site design – the lot. This service can also easily migrate a website from one domain to another and/or migrate from one hosting company to another. It is fantastic!

Email Subscriptions and Marketing

AWeber – The internet’s most powerful email opt-in service and email marketing/broadcasting tool. Davco Media use AWeber to build our email list and newsletter.
